Get Your Wheels Checked For Free By Dr Bike
Cyclists in Putney and Roehampton can make sure their bikes are in tip-top shape
On May 21, a 'Dr Bike' session will be held in Portswood Place off Danebury Avenue in Roehampton from 1pm to 4pm. Cyclists can have their bikes given a free safety check by a team of experts.
This coincides with a ‘Bikearama at the Alton Estate’ on the same day, which is part of the Wandsworth Arts Festival. Riders will be able to take part in a dazzling dance routine using their bikes.
Riders can also learn how to keep their bikes in good working order by taking part in free beginners bicycle maintenance classes being held on Saturday afternoons throughout May in Southfields and in Battersea during August and September. To find out more and book a place call (020) 8871 7983.

The Dr Bike sessions and safety training courses for riders have been arranged by the council’s technical services department, which is keen to encourage people to take up cycling.
