Wandsworth Council commissions the Brighter Partnership to provide the confidential tests at a range of venues to make it easy for Wandsworth residents to quickly and easily check their HIV status. Health checks take 20 minutes and measure blood pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI) and HIV status using a 60-second finger prick test.

Staff also offer health advice and can refer on to wellbeing workshops, life coaching and counselling services offered by the Brighter Partnership. These services are peer-led, which mean outreach workers and health trainers are drawn from the communities they represent.

All sections of the community are welcome to use their services regardless of gender, sexual orientation, religious background, ethnicity or immigration status. Services are strictly confidential and run by non-judgmental staff.

This summer the Brighter Partnership will be attending events in Wandsworth including the Get Active Festival on July 15 and The Feel Good Festival on July 29.

You can also find them at the following weekly or monthly clinics running at the following locations:

• Tooting Leisure Centre
• Roehampton Library
• York Gardens Estate
