Adrian Palaniciuc. Adrian, 17, was last seen by his mother at their home in Whitton Road, Hounslow at about 7pm on 4 December 2012, but is believed that he may have been in the Richmond Bridge area at around 9.30pm.

Police were called at 8am on 8 January 2013 to reports that a member of the public had seen a body in the Thames at Putney Wharf. The body was pulled out of the river by the crew of an RNLI lifeboat.

The death is being treated as non-suspicious at this stage.

A post-mortem examination took place at Southwark Mortuary - officers await the results.

Formal identification is yet to take place, however, next of kin have been informed and officers are satisfied that the deceased is Adrian, a joint Romanian and Spanish national.

An inquest has opened and adjourned at Southwark Coroner's Court.

The body of another 17 year old boy was pulled from the river near Barnes Bridge this month. It was identified as Tiffin School student Conor O'Donoghue.
