Royal Trinity Hospice wins 'London Hospices Garden Plate' for the third year running
The London Garden Society endeavours to ensure ‘Our city is beautiful with our gardens, our squares and our spectacular horticultural displays’. At their annual awards ceremony, Trinity received a gold medal for their large garden and two silver medals for their smaller garden and patio area. After accumulating the highest total across these categories, the London Hospices Garden Plate 2016 was awarded to Trinity for having the overall best hospice garden in London. Terry Salter, Head Gardener at Royal Trinity Hospice, said: A team of 12 volunteers led by Head Gardener, Terry Salter, help to maintain the two-acres of garden at Trinity. The ornamental garden comprises of mixed shrub borders, lawns, ponds, meadow areas and sculptures. The gardens are available for patients and visitors to enjoy throughout the seasons. |
