Police appeal for information after unprovoked incident at Piccadilly Circus
CCTV images have been released after a man was punched and kicked to the floor around 11.30pm on Friday, 18 October at Piccadilly Circus station.
Images released after assault leaves man needing stitches above his eye Sergeant Anton Hunte, the investigating officer, said: “The victim entered the station and made his way towards the Bakerloo line. He passed a man on the escalator, who followed him to the bottom before punching and kicking him to the floor. The man was with a woman who dragged him away towards the southbound Bakerloo line platform, leaving the victim on the ground.”
Officers have carried out several lines of enquiry and are now releasing CCTV images of a man they want to talk to in connection with the incident.
Sgt Hunte added: “This was an unprovoked assault that left the victim needing stitches for a cut above his eye. I’d urge anyone who recognises the man pictured, or who witnessed the incident, to please contact us.”
