Jules, a new independent brasserie serving an eclectic all
day menu, opened on Lacy Road at the end of January. Just off busy Putney High Street, Jules promises to be
an excitingly different addition to SW15’s dining scene.

Fulham resident, George graduated from Newcastle University and initially pursued a career in finance
which, while successful, he says that it "didn’t stimulate all the senses". Over the course of successive visits to a restaurateur friend of the family in the US, George was inspired by his immense passion and enthusiasm for
hospitality and decided that he would open a restaurant of his own and Jules is the product of his dream and hard work.

Open Tuesday to Friday from 5pm until late, and weekends from 9am, this is George Porchester's first hospitality venture offers the flexibility to enjoy anything from a weekend brunch, to a leisurely lunch or a long evening meal with friends.

While Jules' menu will change to reflect the time of day, diners can look forward to the same high standards of food and service and warmth of welcome whenever they visit.

The menu devised by chef Alvaro San Millan, Jules’ approachable, unpretentious menu will be
based around a list of international tapas-style dishes alongside stone-baked gourmet pizzas, charcuterie and cheeses, and a Dish of the Day.

A Breakfast & Brunch menu is served until midday on weekends - it has something to suit every appetite, from Toast & Pastries served with flavoured butters to more substantial dishes like Huevos Revueltos and the Jules Breakfast: fried free-range eggs, pork belly, mixed beans and Portobello mushrooms.

Tapas and sharing plates, among them Cod brandade with roast green peppers, Pork cheek salad, and Cauliflower, sweet potato & roast cashew nuts will be the focal point of evening dining, as well as pizzas with toppings such as Salmon, fennel and caramelised onion s
auce with salmon roe. Each Dish of the Day will be a familiar family favourite, prepared with a flourish and Jules’ exacting attention to detail.

George told this website: “We hope that in Jules, people will find a place that they can drop into at any time and with anyone - we are informal, honest and accessible, somewhere that residents will want to recommend and return to again and again, for the consistently great quality of food and service.”
