Family business re-heels generations of Putney families and local stars

J.Poole & So' started trading at 230a Upper Richmond Road on 29 March 1977, taking on the lease from the Hudson cobblers which had been in the premises for twenty years - meaning that for over sixty years there have been shoe repairs at this one location!

Trevor's father retired after 55 years in the trade in 2006 and now Trevor continues re-heeling the residents of Putney, including pop stars, actors and politicians.

Trevor told PutneySW15.com,"We have had an amazing amount of tv and radio personalities over the years as customers and still do. These include Simon le Bon from the 80s band Duran Duran and his model wife & daughter Yasmin and Amber, Sir Tom Courtney, Nick Clegg, Olympic silver medallist Joe Joyce and the late Bobby Moore".

With longevity comes the bonus of getting to know your regulars over the years, Trevor said:
"You know that you have been here a while when children that came in with there mother and father, now come in with their children!".
