Putney Labour invites you to a free screening of 'Shadow World', the award-winning documentary investigating the global arms trade, followed by a Question and Answer session with its writer Andrew Feinstein.

The event will take place in St Mary’s Church in Puntey High Street on Saturday March 14th from 2 till 4:30 PM.

Feinstein - Copenhagen 2016

Andrew Feinstein is a former Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the ANC and the author of the book 'The Shadow World: Inside the Global Arms Trade'. He is co-founder of Shadow World Investigations which undertakes path-breaking investigations into cases of grand corruption, corporate malfeasance and excessive militarism, predominantly but not exclusively in the global arms trade.

These case-studies are used to highlight the blurred lines between business and state, and to indicate the legal and political reforms that are needed to halt the corrosive impact of criminal and institutional corruption.

Everyone is welcome, Labour Party members or not. Please bring your friends and share this widely! Donations towards covering the cost of the space hire will be welcome!

“Colourful demonstrations and weekend marches are vital but alone are not powerful enough to
stop wars. Wars will be stopped only when soldiers refuse to fight, when workers refuse to load
weapons onto ships and aircraft, when people boycott the economic outposts of Empire that are strung across the globe.” ― Arundhati Roy, Public Power in the Age of Empire
