Putney High Sings Its Way To Semis of BBC Songs Of Praise Competition
The BBC visited the school's Junior Department for a workshop with the girls
Putney's choir was selected from 140 nationwide to make it into the final six junior choirs. The BBC held a workshop and filmed a performance by the girls, aged nine to 11 years.
This film will now be viewed by a BBC panel which will choose three junior and three senior choirs to take part in the televised final in March.
It is the second time in two years that Putney girls have sung their way to success in the competition – in 2008, they made it through to the final, finishing runners-up.
