A cheerful and friendly local choir. They are always glad to welcome new members, in all voice parts. There is no audition, but it is useful if you are able to follow a score and sing in tune!

The choir enjoys singing from the great repertoire of choral music, from Bach, Handel and Purcell to the composers of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Putting on two major concerts a year, usually in December and in the Spring; in summer they sing and enjoy more light-hearted music, culminating in an informal concert and party.

They rehearse at Putney High Junior School, Lytton Grove, Putney SW15 6BH on Monday evenings from on Monday evenings from 7.15pm - 9.15pm.

They begin their Summer Term this year on 29 April 2019, when they will be rehearsing some favourite opera choruses for our Summer concert and party on 1 July.

You are welcome to go along for a couple of weeks during term time without any commitment. Just turn up on a Monday evening, or for further details contact Shirley Chapman on 07968 209245, email secretary@putneychoralsoc.org.uk. If you decide to join, they ask that you pay a subscription, which goes towards covering their costs.
