29-year-old Jenny Bac has lived in Putney for the past three years having moved across the Thames from Fulham. She work as an Analyst for a reinsurance broker in the City. I've lived in South West London for nearly 10 years, firstly in Fulham, before moving to Putney 3 years ago.

Jenny told PutneySW15: "I have always enjoyed running as it gave me some 'me time' and a chance to think. Since moving to Putney it's been even easier to get out and run, as I'm closer to Wandsworth Park and the River Thames, so these have been my training grounds for the marathon. You can run along the Thames Path and forget you're actually in a busy city like London"

The Virgin Money London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet-runners have raised over 770 million for good causes since the race began in 1981. This year the race is on Sunday 23 April.

Jenny told this website, "I chose to raise money for Bloodwise as my Dad was diagnosed with Leukaemia a few years ago. For someone who plays tennis, goes windsurfing and appeared so fit and healthy, this was really hard to believe. Due to the developments in blood cancer research and the improvements in chemotherapy, he is now in remission. However, there is still no cure for Leukaemia, it is a battle that he will have to keep fighting, along with so many others out there".

Bloodwise Jenny's chosen charity is the UK’s biggest blood cancer charity. Dedicated to funding research into blood cancers, and developing cures - as there website states: 'We’ve changed the world for people with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood disorders – but we won’t stop until every single person with blood cancer survives and can live their life to the full'.
