The church was packed for the event - estimated at least 250 people attended. Five of the candidates (Guy Dessoy of The Animal Welfare Party, was not able to get out of a previous engagement) spoke for three minutes each and then answered questions form the floor.

Questions covered planning - specifically problems arising from permitted development & its impact on Putney High Street), housing; is there enough? should there be more affordable and social housing?, location of the third runway (both Boswell, Greening and Poole against third runway at Heathrow. More questions on the mansion tax, maintenance grants for students the reality of finding the funding for the NHS and the dangers of leaving the EU.

It was a lively evening - a little bit of barracking from the floor on Heathrow and tax but generally pretty calm. The candidates finshed with a closing statement urging us to support them.
