Come to the judging and presentation to the winners of “The Great Wellie Competition” by local MP, Justine Greening at 2.15pm on the Wandsworth Park River Terrace on 25 May.

It will be the culmination of 10 days’ work by Brandlehow School & The Hurlingham School who will have planted up 15 wellington boots per school for a competition between the schools. They can use any props they wish and the objective is to be as creative as possible. They will be competing for the best wellie display.

They will have tended their plants, and nurtured their displays from 15th May until the 25th May when, at 1.30pm, they will come to The River Terrace in Wandsworth Park, set up their displays, and local MP, Justine Greening will judge the best display at 2.15pm.

The winning team will get a photograph with Justine Greening, MP to display in their school and the winner certificate, and all students will receive a certificate for entering the contest.

Organised by the Friends of Wandsworth Park and part of the Chelsea Fringe, residents are invited to arrive at 1.30pm to see them set up their displays, decide for yourself who you would choose as the winners and then watch the prize-giving.
