The Dover House Singers will be celebrating the “Summer of ‘69” at St Mary’s Church on Putney Bridge, at 7pm on 20 July. The concert will be conducted by their musical director Carl Speck and entrance is free.

The Dover House Singers are a community choir and will be singing a selection of songs from 1969. Everyone is invited to come along and wear some flowers in their hair.

Drinks will be available and there will be a cake stall and a raffle in aid of ReGenerate Rise (a local charity reaching out to the isolated elderly in the area).

Dover House Singers sing a really wide range of songs and pieces – from pop songs to spirituals and plenty more in between. The hold two big concerts like this one a year, with several smaller performances dotted through the calendar.

They are led by Carl Speck, their musical director who also teaches at a nearby school.

Although they rehearse in a church hall, they are not a religious choir.
