Putney 1885 Singers are giving a performance of Verdi's stunningly dramatic Requiem in Southwark Cathedral on Saturday 9 November.

With a massive symphony orchestra and world renowned soloists the choir of over 100 singers will hugely enjoy the opportunity to fill this glorious London cathedral with great music.

Giuseppe Verdi wrote his Requiem, refusing to be constrained by the conventions of sacred music, instead, he brought all his dramatic power to bear on a story of tragedy, redemption, and the end of time. The result is one of the mightiest of all choral masterpieces.
