On Saturday 13 October t he 1885 Singers will be giving a performance of Maurice Duruflé's setting of the Requiem. This beautiful work is often compared to the Faure which was composed in France half a century earlier.

Also in the programme are works by Elgar, Goodall and Whitacre.

The performance takes place at All Saints Church, Putney Common and begins at 7.45pm.

Tickets at the door. £12. Concessions £10 Children free.

Alison Hunka founded the 1885 Singers in 1997. It is a Putney choir open to everyone, it has established itself in the music scene of South West London. They give four concerts a year, usually March, June, October and December. There is a 4-6 week lead into each concert with rehearsals on Mondays and Thursdays in All Saints Church , Putney Common.
