Elderly man believed to be dead

Following a serious accident, Putney High St has been closed in both directions between A205 Upper Richmond Rd and A3209 Putney Bridge Rd.

Tweets have conflicting information, some believe a bus has crushed the elderly pedestrian but others have tweeted a lorry.

Currently there are two fire engines, numerous police cars and London ambulance are on the scene. As yet no information available from the police.
