|Copycat Suicide Pact On Pentlow Street?|
Lower Richmond Rd filled with fire engines, ambulances & police
Two women have died in a flat in Pentlow Street, West Putney in a suspected double suicide. Emergency services were called at around 11am this morning (30th September) to the flat where they found two bodies.
Neighbours report that the windows of the flat were taped closed and the emergency services response included staff in protective suits. Local residents have said that a strong 'chemical' smell was coming from the property in which the women who were in their twenties died.
Last week two people in killed themselves after making a suicide pact online by releasing hydrogen sulphide into a car. This was the first such 'chemical suicide' in the UK but there have been previous cases in Japan and the US.
Police have said they are not treating the incident as suspicious at this stage.
