|Dynamic Duo Play At The Half Moon|
to show their support against the possible closure of a great music venue
Ocean Colour Scene frontman Simon Fowler and drummer Oscar Harrison return to The Halfmoon Putney with their acoustic show on 22nd December, and give their support to the possible closure of the venue
Earlier in the Summer, Ocean Colour Scene had played an acclaimed set on the main stage at the V Festivals, while going on to sell out two nights at the Shepherd's Bush Empire, proving their reputation as a great live act continues to endure.
While guitarist Steve Cradock pictured left, remains a loyal sideman for the Modfather Paul Weller, contributing on his most recent 22 Songs album and continuing to tour with the legend, Fowler and Harrison have also sought to occupy themselves constructively. Their acoustic shows have garnered rave reviews with their pared down versions of OCS favourites, along with their own inimitable compositions, always going down a storm. Simon Fowler describes the acoustic shows as ‘a real tonic- a great chance to look the audience in the eye and interact with them much more directly'.
OCS, who will be celebrating their 21 st anniversary next year, have clocked up an impressive eleven Top 20 singles and five Top 10 albums during their illustrious career. Saturday , their ninth studio album, was recorded over six weeks last summer at the iconic Rockfield studios in South Wales with producer Gavin Monaghan (Editors/ the Twang), and finds them as vibrantly tuneful as they've ever been.
The latest OCS single Magic Carpet Days will be released on 25th January with the new album Saturday is due for release on 1st February www.oceancolourscene.com
