Tideway are reporting that work at the Putney Embankment Foreshore site is progressing well, as the company is now preparing to start the construction of the low-level connection tunnel.

On Tuesday 18 February a large mobile crane will be arriving on site. This crane will be used to lift tunnelling equipment into the shaft for the connection tunnel.

Due to its size, the crane is classified as an abnormal load and will arrive between 5.30am and 7am. The timing of this movement helps to reduce congestion on local roads and is in accordance with the requirements of the Metropolitan Police regarding these types of deliveries.

As this delivery is arriving out of the normal working hours it will be driven straight onto site and parked. Further set-up and manoeuvring into position will take place during normal working hours.

If you feel affected by Tideway’s work, you can contact Tideway’s Helpdesk 08000 308080 and ask to speak to your local Mitigation and Compensation Lead, who will then be able to support and advise you on the Independent Compensation Panel (ICP).
