Chairman of the Putney Society, Carolyn McMillan told PutneySW15.com:
"The Putney Society are delighted that Network Rail are, at last, renovating parts of Putney Station and installing lifts to enable “Access for All” to and from the platforms. But there is one important aspect that has been totally ignored. This relates to the overcrowded entrance hall and decrepit façade onto the High Street and is the responsibility of South West Trains.

She continued:
" The ticketing hall is far too small to take the high volume of passengers with its two narrow doorways onto Putney High Street. Network Rail’s plans that we have seen show no increase in the number of exits/ entrances to and from the High Street, no de-cluttering of the central part of the frontage to allow a third entrance, nor any increase in ticket hall area."
