Local artists Susannah, graduated in 2008 with an MA in Fine Art from the University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh College of Art. She is a figurative painter and printmaker who loves colour, vintage toys and all things that tell a story!

Susannah told this website:
"Bridging the Gap is a painting that plays with ideas of conflict and reconciliation, quite literally measuring out the space in between. The policeman is the adjudicator, fielding either a make 'up' or break 'up' between the two racers. The Tower Bridge stencil behind is likewise suspended between meanings, neither opening or closing. The policeman is caught in the middle, his head framed by the vice-like gap which is either about to crush or release him. This is a painting about ambiguity and choice; an allegory upon which I invite you to pin your own associations".
