Heavy traffic in West Putney due to closure of roads around Common

Police have currently closed the Lower Richmond Road and Queens Ride over Lower Common South due a collision outside Oasis Primary School between a bus and a pedestrian.

They were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 1.20pm this Tuesday (8 January) after a bus hit a man on the Lower Richmond Road.

He was treated by the emergency services for facial injuries and taken to a nearby hospital where his condition has been deemed not life changing or life threatening.

Currently a number of road closures remain in place which are causing queues in the surrounding area.

No arrests have been made and the police enquiries continue.
