Disruption on road in Putney and Roehampton looks set to continue into next week.

Originally it was expected that the work would be over by 9 February but last week that date slipped to today (16 February). However we are advised that the traffic restrictions will continue until Monday 19 February. Multi-way traffic light signals remain in place to manage traffic and Rocks Lane (A306) remains closed southbound.

A spokesperson for Cadent, the company carrying out the repair told PutneySW15.com, "The engineering works will be completed today, but the diversions and traffic control will remain over the weekend and should be removed on Monday".

Substantial disruption is to be anticipated until the work is finished so you are advised to consider alternative routes. The problems in the area are likely to be compounded by the closure of Hammersmith Bridge at the same time.

Suspected gas escapes should be reported on 0800 111 999.
