Soul Brother Records in celebrating with live music & signings
Saturday 18th April marks the biggest national event on the music calendar as independent record shops across the country celebrate Record Store Day 2015.
Soul Brother Records, situated on Keswick Road, Putney will of course be joining in the celebrations with a live performance from Swedish Jazz singer Cecilia Stalin who will also be signing copies of her RSD release The Story of love, in store between 3 pm and 4 pm. There will be a party atmosphere in store as owner Laurence celebrates his 60th Birthday on the day.
Laurence Prangnell of Soul Brother Records said:
Soul Brother Records have teamed up with their neighbours The Beer Boutique who are offering entry into a draw to win some Anspach & Hobday beer for all Record Store Day customers.
And in true Record Store Day style, Soul Brother Records will also be stocking a huge range of limited edition vinyl records exclusive to independent record shops as well as four releases from their own label. Doors open at 8 am with queues expected to emerge from the early hours, so arrive early to avoid disappointment!
2015 will see the eighth celebration of the UK's unique independent sector. RSD is the one day that all of the independently owned record shops come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists across the globe make special appearances and performances. Festivities include performances, meet & greets with artists, DJ's, in store quizzes and many other events.
