User of The Pleasance are being invited to a series of nature sessions to gather ideas for improving facilities at the park in Putney

The Postcode Community Trust has awarded £7,373 to Enable Parks, on behalf of Wandsworth Council.

The resulting project, developed along with The Pleasance Play Group, will see a new basket swing in the current play space plus play sessions based around a nature theme such as bug hunts and leaf art.

There will also be engagement with the local community and schools around how they use the Pleasance and what play opportunities they would like to see there in the future.

These sessions will be delivered by Barry and Marlon from London Play and the information gathered will feed into a wider funding application in 2019 which may include improved play facilities.

Nature Sessions will be on The Pleasance, near the play area on the following dates:

Friday September 28, 11 am-noon and 3pm-4pm
Saturday October 6,  noon-1pm
Tuesday October 16, 11 am-noon
Monday October 22, 11am-noon, and 2pm 3pm

The council’s open spaces spokesman Cllr Steffi Sutters said, “Please come down, meet new people in your community and tell us what improvements you would like to see to the play space in this small but popular local park.”

For more information about the sessions please contact Barry on 07879 372 321, or Marlon on 07757 308 247.
