Can you help an NHS worker to help your family and friends?
Parish Action are supporting a South London team sewing scrubs as part of the national effort ‘For the Love of Scrubs” started by a nurse. This team is focussing on hospitals, GP surgeries, hospices and care homes south of the River Thames as the need arises and directly matching requests with people who can sew the garments, many of whom are in the industry but no longer at work.

In the NHS only a quarter of the workforce ordinarily wear scrubs. Each member of staff needs several sets of clothing. Scrubs are usually only worn in theatre and A&E, however, with this pandemic all staff need scrubs.

The South London group are currently working on making 400 sets of scrubs for Kings College Hospital for the Maternity Ward and Paediatric A&E and 120 sets for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability.

They need financial backing to do this, which is where you can help. Please click this link to find out more information about how to help financially.
