A group of 20 pan-African royals, including HRH Princess Moradeun Adedoyin-Solarin, attended Putney Odeaon on Friday evening (23 February 23rd) to see the smash hit film Black Panther. The movis has been widely praised for its strong depiction of African culture.

As part of her 60th birthday celebrations, HRH Princess Moradeun Adedoyin-Solarin and her guests attended the cinema in full traditional Pan-African dress & fashion. A photograph of the real-life African King, HRM Oba W C Adedoyin Anoko II, The Paramount Ruler of Remo Kingdom, was featured in a documentary alongside other images of traditional outfits & adornments from Africa; which have specifically been referenced as a direct influence to Black Panther’s Oscar-nominated costume designer, Ruth E Carter, when she created the striking visual fashions of Wakanda.

Grand-daughter of the African Monarch HRM Oba William Christopher Adedoyin Anoko II, the Pan-African Princess and her guests will witness the adventures of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) as he inherits the crown of Wakanda and takes on his nemesis Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) in the latest Marvel film.

Having already taken over £250m box office worldwide, Black Panther is the #1-rated superhero movie currently on Rotten Tomatoes.erse cast and painting a powerful depiction of African culture.

HRH Princess Moradeun Adedoyin-Solarin, said: “To see our culture and my Grandfather’s Royal Regalia having inspired the visual style of this global hit film is truly a fantastic moment for myself and my family.”
