When Putney resident Naomi Westerman lost her father, she arranged for his 'cherished' piano which had been in the family longer than her.

The removal men were unable to get it up to her flat, and so with the permission of the other two flats in the building Naomi left it in the shared hall way whilst she main alternative plans.

Naomi told this website: "On Thursday night I came home and it was fine. When I left the house at 1pm on Friday (19th January) it was gone. I can only imagine someone had come into the building and noticed an expensive item in a communal area, perhaps thought it didn't belong to anyone specifically, and thought it would be easy to pop round with a van (the front door to the building is easy to force open) and walk off with it".

Naomi asks readers to look out for any sales of piano's on websites or local newspapers as she is very keen to get the piano back. She can be contacted on info@naomiwesterman.com
