The search for 28-year-old missing Putney resident Jack Morrad has been suspended after a man's body was discovered by Essex Police.

Officers had been searching a fishing lake in Gloucester Park, Basildon, as part of the investigation to find Jack Morrad.



The discovery was made shortly before 11.30am this Thursday (3 January).

Jack Morrad, who has lived in Putney for over a year, was last seen leaving Colours night club in the Southernhey area of Basildon at around 2.30am on 23 December 2018.

The body is yet to be identified, but Mr Morrad’s family have been informed that the search has been suspended. Formal identification will take place in due course.

A fundraising page set up by Jack’s friends to aid the search has raised £6000 since his disappearance.
