Six Escape Roehampton House Fire

Blaze took hold in loft conversion of semi-detached house

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house in Roehampton Vale, Roehampton, on Friday (10 February) evening.

Around half of the first floor and half of the loft conversion of a semi-detached house was damaged by fire. Part of a loft conversion belonging to a neighbouring property was also damaged in the blaze.

Six people - four adults and two children - left the affected property before the arrival of the Brigade and were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

The Brigade was called at 8.50pm and the fire was under control less than two hours later. Fire crews from Kingston, New Malden, Wandsworth, Battersea and Fulham fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
