Former Wandsworth councillor and lifelong borough resident Stuart King has been selected to fight the parliamentary seat of Putney for Labour at the next General Election.

36 year old Stuart, was the overwhelming choice of members of Putney Labour Party at a packed selection conference held on 10 June.

“As a life long borough resident it’s a great honour to have been chosen to be Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Putney at the next election. I am really looking forward to getting out and about in Putney, meeting with local residents and discussing the issues - local and national - of most concern to them”.

Stuart was a regular contributor to PutneySw15.com during his role as a Councillor in the borough and we look forward to a regular update from him in due course!

Stuart works for a London-based publishing and training company, and lives in Tooting with fiancée Natalie. He plays Sunday league football for Roehampton team, Mulladween FC.
