Since 1951, The Good Food Guide has reviewed the best restaurants, pubs and cafés across the UK. Each year, the guide is completely rewritten and compiled from scratch. Every year they make awards to restaurants across the UK.

This year they have awarded Home SW15 as Best London Local Restaurant with the following review: 'There's a strong local following at this appealing all-day bar and restaurant, a reworking of restaurateur Rebecca Mascarenhas' Bibo. Sip 'a remarkably affordable daiquiri' in the spacious front bar, or head to the dining room where the service is enthusiastic and engaging and the kitchen is noted for generosity and boldness.

Owner, Craig Gordon, told PutneySW15.com: "We're excited to say that we've been named as The Good Food Guide's London Local Restaurant of the Year. This wouldn't have happened without the support of our brilliant customers and we want to thank them all for voting for us. We're very grateful and really chuffed.

He continued: "The 2019 guide, which came out today, says that "the service is enthusiastic and engaging and that the kitchen is known for its generosity and boldness", which is as nice a piece of praise as any restaurant could receive. It's been a pleasure serving you this year and we hope to do so for many years ahead. Do come back to visit us soon and bring your friends. We guarantee a very warm Home welcome."

The Good Food Guide book is published annually in September by Waitrose. The reviews are based on the huge volume of feedback that they receive from readers and this, together with anonymous expert inspections, ensures that every entry is assessed.
