Harry started rugby at six years old at local club Rosslyn Park and he has taken his game all the way to the England Sevens side where he made his debut at the Las Vegas World Rugby Sevens Series in March 2016. On receiving the award in San Francisco, Harry told this website: "I was extremely proud and flattered to receive the Tudor Breakthrough Player award. The World Cup 7s in San Francisco was an incredible tournament and a silver medal was a great achievement.
7s is the ultimate team sport and I’m really looking forward to the next season and being a part of this unbelievably talented group of players."

Head of England Sevens Simon Amor said: "He's been brilliant for us this year and the way he has progressed his game is simply great. He's got a physical edge to his game, a wonderful reach and offload and aerially he's probably one of the best in the world, so he's a real asset for us there."

A spokesperson for Rosslyn Park told PutneySW15: “Rosslyn Park is incredibly proud of what Harry has achieved so far in his young playing career, and especially his recent performance out in San Francisco. We are incredibly lucky to have Harry as an ex Rosslyn Park mini & Youth player.”

Donnie Masters, Director of rugby at Rosslyn Park added: "As a youngster Harry was a truly outstanding fly half / inside centre who was equally adept in the back back row. He was in the same age group as my older son so I had the pleasure of watching him weave his magic in the mini and youth teams at Rosslyn Park. He is an incredibly talented and humble young man who has worked his socks off to get his opportunity and it looks like he grabbed it with both hands in San Francisco! It couldn’t have happened for a nicer lad."

Engand were runners up in San Francisco having been beaten by New Zealand, who created history at AT&T Park on Sunday with their 33-12 victory - them not only the first nation to win back-to-back Rugby World Cup Sevens titles but also the first to lift the Melrose Cup on three occasions.

Harry combines his rugby career whilst studying at Newcastle University where he has been joined by his younger brother 20 year old Will who is also in the England Sevens Squad with his debut at the HSBC tournament in Singapore in 2017.
