Putney Bridge is currently closed for essential repairs but Putney Town Centre is open for business and would welcome you to come and discover the beauty of Putney, the great range of retail shops, fine restaurants and pubs, relaxing cafes, excellent entertainment and of course the river bank.

Each day during the bridge closure works the Town Centre Manager will identify a gem of Putney which she recommends you visit.

Week 4 - Focus on Putney Exchange

Monday 4th - Putney Exchange
The Putney Exchange is a premium shopping destination offering a unique mix of independent retail stores with a great choice of high street brand names, plus a choice of relaxing cafes and restaurants. Conveniently located on Putney High Street with safe and secure parking on two levels, the Putney Exchange is open 7 days a week with late night shopping on Thursdays.

Tuesday 5th - Waitrose
Your Waitrose in Putney opened its doors on 25th November 1996. The staff are called “Partners” because they all own an equal share in the business, they strive every day to improve their branch and achieve more.
Originally the shop finished where the lifts are, the area where fruit & vegetables are was a completely different shop. The second extension, completed in January 2013, enabled Waitrose to stock an extra 2,000 products.

Wednesday 6th -
Guiliano’s Deli
Found on Lacy Road Guiliano’s is an authentic Italian deli serving up deliciously fresh, home-made treats every day.

Thursday 7th - Huttons
An independent gift retailer stocking a fantastic array of gifts and ideas for the home, many from local Putney artisans. Always original, quirky and fun, with a really lovely level of service that keeps customers coming back time and time again

Friday 8th - Toystop
Upstairs in Putney Exchange is possibly the biggest independent toyshop in South West London.
They stock all the big brands including Sylvanian Families, Playmobil, Lego, Meccano, Jellycat and Jellykitten and Baby Alive dolls. They currently have Frozen merchandise in stock aswell as the popular loom band craze. Very knowledgeable owners who cannot do enough to help you make that very important purchase.

Saturday 9th - Butlers
Downstairs in Putney Exchange Butlers offers stunning furniture and gift ideas as well as funky decor tips and beautiful home accessories. Everything you need to make your home perfect, be it working, decorating, furnishing or cooking.
