Shortly before 2.10pm this Wednesday afternoon (15 April) there was an explosion in a low-rise bock of flats in Roehampton.

Two people were injured, one of whom has been taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.

Residents of Cline House, Toland Square, which is behind Queen Mary's Hospital, have evacuated the building and the police confirm that they treating the incident as a gas explosion.

The scene was attended by police, ambulance and the London Fire Brigade.
