Despite the tip on Smugglers Way reopening last week (11 May) to the public, flytippers have dumped their waste on the picturesque Telegraph Road.

The Council team advise us that the site was cleared before 2pm this Thursday. Anyone with information about rubbish being dumped should telephone (020) 8871 6396. All calls will be treated in confidence. Information can also be submitted via flytipwitness@wandsworth.gov.uk.

Cllr Steffi Sutters, Cabinet Member Community Services & Open Spaces (pictured above) told this website, "This is very disappointing, particularly as rubbish was collected in Putney area yesterday. We will continue to do all do all we can to control and discourage flytipping but sadly this is one of the known hotspots. We will be examining the waste to see if we can pick up any clues as to who dumped it and will fine if we find evidence. We urge residents to dispose of their rubbish responsibly and to only use bona fide private waste collection companies if they need to do so".
