'The more we do together, the more we are together' - that is the motto of Festing Road. An apt slogan for the birthplace 'Festing Road' of cartoon character Mr Benn. Spurred on by a global project on Instagram and with Covid19 putting the residents all in their boxes, long standing resident Anna Crompton thought it would be great to involve Festing Road in the project, getting the street if not out and about at least together in spirit.

41 households came out and had their photos taken by socially distancing, Anna. She said: "The idea is that this will be a record of this 'once in a lifetime' time that we’re living in, when we have never spent more time in our houses next door to each other, yet seen each other less."

These will be put together in a book and when this battle is over the street which has its own dedicated paving stones, flower beds and street parties will have its own book.

Why not get your street involved - take the photos standing a minimum of 2 metres apart and then upload them to #weareyourneighbours.

It will not be only Col. Tom who is celebrating today - Happy Birthday!
