As The Elliott School enjoys the best results ever
61% of students achieved grade C or above passes in English and maths, a rise of 47% on last years results.
Overall 5 A* - C GCSE passes which are the best ever with 88% of the students achieving secure passes. 83% of the students gained 2 GCSE passes in Science.
The newly appointed Head teacher, Mark Phillips, who took the school out of Special Measures in November 2010, said:
“These excellent GCSE results are entirely what the teaching staff expected from a group of students with potential. The teachers have worked extremely hard tracking students grades throughout the year and this vigilance has paid dividends for the students. I am truly delighted and proud of all those who made a contribution to Elliott’s success”.
