Sustrans, who co-ordinate 10,000 miles of cycling routes have identified ten really great routes for families to enjoy cycling together this half term. The London route, a distance of 18 miles, runs from Putney Bridge to Weybridge. This exhilarating ride is a green corridor on the doorstep of the capital, taking in the River Thames, Richmond Park and Hampton Court Palace.
This fun filled, highly visual guide includes quick tips on how cycling can keep you fit as well as info on how it benefits the environment. Top advice regarding safety is included with simple precautions for kids and also the low-down on how to keep your bike in tip top condition.
To illustrate the fun to be had cycling the guide contains tips from the characters of fantastic new cartoon series Oban Star Racers. Oban Star Racers is an adventure fuelled family cartoon where the galaxy's greatest star pilots take each other on in the legendary Great Race of Oban.
