On Sunday, 15th March around 7pm, officers became aware that two cash points attached to Metro Bank on Putney High Street had been tampered with using fraudulent devices.

Wandsworth police told this website that following some enquiries at the scene, two men were arrested for fraud offences.

A 40 year-old man has been charged and remanded for Possession of an Article for Use in Fraud and a second 42 year-old man has been charged and remanded for Possession of an Article for Use in Fraud, and for Possession of a Class B Drug.

It has been a bad week for Metro Bank as the following day burglars smashed a Land Rover through the glass front of the Chelsea branch.
