A male student was arrested on Friday (16 March) following a search at Southlands College, part of the Roehampton University campus, for possession of a large amount of a Class A drug later confirmed to be MDMA. He was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply.

A spokesperson from the University of Roehampton, said, “We cannot provide any comment as this is an ongoing court case subject to legal proceedings. We strongly condemn any possession, use, supply or production of illegal drugs and we have a strict policy in relation to these matters. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy community for students and staff to study and work and have robust procedures in place to support the wellbeing of our student and staff community.”
