The Police have confirmed that a commercial burglary was committed at Century 21, on the Upper Richmond Road in the early hours of Wednesday (14 February).

Owner, Hanane Dawson told PutneySW15, "Two brazen criminals pulled up (one on a moped, one in a small car) backed up to the agency, smashed the entire shopfront glass with a large object, and made off with anything they could carry within 5 minutes. A big thanks to the kind neighbours at Pizza Express working late who immediately alerted the police who arrived within 9 minutes but about 4 minutes after the criminals had sped off. Another neighbour living in the Downholme residence took videos and also reported details to the police."

She continued: "The police were very fast in responding and extremely helpful. No client items were accessed and we are fully up and running, just a little shaken and with a few scars on the outside of the agency."

A spokesperson for the police said,"Businesses should be vigilant of any suspicious behaviour as there have been a number of recent commercial burglaries on Putney High Street. However, if anyone has any information with relation to this offence, please contact DC McIvor from Wandsworth CID on 0203 276 2587 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111".
