Putney High Street was closed southbound on Sunday morning (22 October) after an incident in the early hours required police to declare a crime scene.

A 26-year-old man had been found unconscious in the street by paramedics shortly before 2.24am and police responded to reports of a fight having taken place.

The police say that the man’s injuries are not life-threatening.

The road was closed between Werter Road and Disraeli Road while scene of crime officers investigated but reopened at noon. Traffic in the area had already been increased due to the closure of Hammersmith Bridge.

No arrests have been made and an investigation continues. If you were a witness or have any information about what happened you are asked to call the police on 101.
