Police appeal for witnesses to the accident on Putney Hill

A female cyclist was taken by air ambulance to hospital after a collision with a van on Putney around 11.45am today (5 September).

The collision occurred on Putney Hill with the junction with Putney Heath Lane, SW15. Police are appealing for witnesses as enquiries continue.

London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene. The cyclist, a woman believed aged in her fifties, was taken to a south London hospital for treatment - her injuries are not life threatening.

The driver of the van stopped at the scene. He has not been arrested.

Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision, or the events leading up to the collision, is asked to contact police on 101.
