Putney Heath rape - appeal for information July 2002

Antoni Imiela - the 49 year old man accused of a series of rapes including the one on Putney Heath in July 2002, claims that he was not the rapist as he is gay.

Today the ban on publishing his photo was lifted allowing publication today. His nine victims are between 10 & 52 years of age, starting with an attack in Ashford Kent in November 2001.

Imiela was caught after 13 months through DNA traces providing one-billion-to-one evidence against him, the jury has been told. The prosecution finished its case against him today and he has begun his defence. The case continues.
