Dover House Estate Residents' Association (DHERA) has been informed of an incident which occurred on the evening of Monday 6 October (or thereabouts).

Someone entered the rear garden of a resident of Huntingfield Road and set fire to a garden shed which was completely destroyed in the blaze.

Because the gardens are small and close together, the fire could well have spread to other fences, sheds and ultimately to the houses themselves. The police are treating the incident as arson. Fortunately in this case someone spotted the fire and called the fire brigade, however it does not bear thinking about how easily this could have got out of control.

If anyone has any information or saw anything suspicious, please either contact DHERA or the police. There is a new non emergency number to cover the whole of the Metropolitan which is 0300 123 1212.
