On Wednesday 15th August a BMW pulling out of Huntingfield Road on to Putney Park Lane was hit by a Mercedes coming down Putney Park Lane.

The BMW was thrown several meters before crashing through a hedge in to the children's garden on Huntingfield Road.

Residents have complained on the forum on this site about the speed of traffic, signage, parking and pedestrians on Putney Park Lane and in May this year announced they were researching the traffic complaints on the road.

The neighbour of the children told a reporter for The Wimbledon Guardian that, "Putney Park Lane is like a racing track. The cars that come from Huntingfield Road can't see round the t-junction because there's a hedge in the way."

Neither driver had serious injuries but the driver of the BMW was taken to Charing Cross Hospital.
