Following the recent heavy rainfall the Environment Agency has called on Thames Water to deploy its aeration vessel, 'Vitality' to the stretch of the river between Putney and Chelsea (pictured below outside Westminster Palace).

The aim is to add oxygen to the river to help the fish as the heavy rainfall reduces the oxygen levels in the water.
