A spokesperson for Thames Water told this website: “We’ve been carrying out proactive pollution investigations close to Beverley Brook. This is involves using environmentally friendly dye to trace the source of incorrectly plumbed household appliances which send foul waste to the watercourse instead of the sewer network. Once the households contributing to the pollution have been identified, we’ll contact the owners who will then be responsible for correcting the plumbing issues.”
